Okay in this next video we’ll do a quick walkthrough for setting up a new google analytics account if you don’t already have one so this training video is actually going to be a sample from our actual training program so you can get a better idea of what’s in here uh what we offer some of these are more uh beginner lessons and they’ll go into more advanced so if you need more advanced training we do have a link below in the description that will give you access to discounts and different things like that from our advanced training and all of our different programs that’s going to be a link down in the description below so we’ll just walk you through uh setting this up the this is for uh if you don’t have google analytics set up yet so we’ll do uh here’s how to set up google analytics we’ll just do a quick walkthrough here so we’ll jump over to the setup it’s just going to be right up here on analytics.google.com uh if you’re not signed in it’ll ask you to sign in to your google account uh it you could just make it the same login as your google ads account so once you’re logged into that uh you’ll just jump to analytics.google.com and it’ll just be the basic login screen uh and then it will ask you to create a new account set up a new account they change the setup screen from time to time but it’s basically just create a new account uh is is or something close to that will be what the button says so you click on that and it will pop up into here it’s asking you for the account details you can just call it whatever makes sense your the name of your website this isn’t the website address this is just for you to identify uh which website it is and these are your account data sharing settings and preferences like that so i mean you could check these however you want to uh usually we recommend just checking all of them but you could read through the different uh policies on what exactly they’re sharing and then click next and it’ll ask for your property details so this is the property name if you put a lot of different websites you own they’d be under the different properties or you have a giant account that has lots of properties this is just a main account could just be in your name in a different website per property if you want to set it up if you just have one website it’ll just be one account one property and then one site and then set it to whatever your time zone is and whatever your local currency is so you can get better tracking uh and then the advanced options down here if you want to go with universal analytics which is a little bit better known and it’s better supported if if you don’t want to do the new google analytics for uh well it’s somewhat new you want if you want to stick with universal analytics you can check the box here and it will create one of those and then you could just type in your website address here this one you want to be the actual website address not nickname and you can create both google analytics for and universal or if you just want to do universal analytics if you’re more familiar with that uh it’s the older one it’s it’s usually more compatible with everything not everybody’s upgraded to google analytics four you could either do both uh or just one of them uh all of our tutorials or for universal analytics just because it connects with more systems currently and it’s easier to use at the moment so we recommend setting up one of these and then click next and just ask you basic info about your business i mean this isn’t really critical but you could put this in here just to get more info uh and then just kind of check some boxes and then click on create and it’ll ask you to read and agree to their their data usage policies things like that the service agreement just read through all these and click accept when you’re ready and then it’ll load up the new screen it will give you your tracking id number here uh so you’ll cut and paste that inside of your website builder or um you can also just cut and paste the code it goes in the head of the code so there’s a lot of wordpress plugins that do this uh or if you’re using third-party website builders they’ll just ask for the tracking id or if you have a web designer that built it for you you can just email them this code they’ll know what that means or you can connect this to tag manager if you’re more advanced and you know how to use google tag manager that’s an option too but it immediately goes to the tracking code for you to put on your website or connect to tag manager however you want to do it and then it’ll start picking up on all your website traffic so once this is done and you have the code on your website it’ll start picking up usually in 24 to 48 hours you’ll see your website traffic coming through we have other videos on how to link it to google ads how to set up remarketing uh how to set up different goals to get tracking you could actually just hit the back button right here and it’ll go into the admin panel which is right here on the left if you’re logged into the home screen this is for adding different users uh that’s the tracking code where we just were that’s google ads linking audience definitions if you’re creating remarketing for the first time enable e-commerce uh if you need to do that if you have a an online store or shopify or something like that and then set up goals to track who submitted a form uh did they call did they complete a purchase schedule a demo sign up for the newsletter whatever it is we have different videos on how to set all that up but this one’s just how to get started with google analytics and set up a new account from scratch so if you did that and put the code on your website you’ll now get some basic traffic data on on your website and then you’re ready to set up goals and remarketing so you can launch your ad campaign.
